Meet The Team

Fraser Bookatz

Fraser studies International Security Studies at the University of Nottingham. Fraser has been with MAB for just over a year, working as the UN advisor before moving over to the Communications team. Alongside volunteering with MAB, Fraser is a keen table tennis player and a qualified sailing instructor.

Philippe Lefevre

Philippe is the founder and Managing Director of MUNers Across Borders. A young Franco-British professional in London, he has extensive MUN experience spanning multiple countries, he’s excited to work with a fantastic team to celebrate Model UN. He’s academically rooted in international politics and diplomacy and aims to establish World Model UN Day while empowering global youth voices.

Sharon Low

Sharon is a Master of Global Affairs graduate from the University of Toronto’s Munk School, and specialises in markets and innovation. She’s a Lupina fellow and Ontario graduate scholar, currently working at Deloitte in public sector consulting. Sharon’s MUN involvement spans over 25 conferences, and she enjoys coaching high school MUN and exploring farmer’s markets.

Juni Victoria Moe Moltubak

Juni Moltubak is a Political Science (International Relations and Organisations) graduate (Leiden University) studying MSc Global Environment and Development (University of Copenhagen). Currently interning at the think tank GLOBSEC, after completing an ESG project management traineeship, she applies her academic knowledge of EU politics with her passion for climate policy and research.

Megan Zhang

Megan is currently in her last year as a high school student. She is from Toronto, Canada and is engaged in Model UN, debate, and social justice. Megan seeks to further her commitment and study of world affairs in university. She is active in the MAB Community and aspires to create a positive impact in the lives of those around her, and across the world.

Ciara Campbell

Ciara is a working professional with experience in civil service and advocacy. She is a multilateral specialist and policy generalist. She holds a BA in Politics from Queen’s University Belfast and an MA in International Relations from the College of Europe, Bruges. She is curious, enthusiastic and a hard worker.

Soumya Arora

Soumya is a final year Law and politics student in Ireland. Her passion for making a positive impact has found its truest expression through her exceptional involvement in the MUN community. Soumya’s has chaired conferences in Marrakech, New York, Rome, and Dubai, shaping young minds. She has been a part of MAB community since 2021 it has been a fulfilling experience for her.

Tahir Abbas

Tahir Abbas, a software engineer and cybersecurity enthusiast from UMT, Pakistan, developed a keen interest in hacking and penetration testing during his studies. He dedicated his free time to learning basic hacking techniques, cybersecurity tools, and coding. Eventually discovered his passion for web development, creating websites for friends and organizations as a volunteer.

Martine Chen

Martine is a high school student, studying in Toronto, Canada. She is passionate about Model UN, debate and mock trial, and aspires to make an impact on many social issues. She seeks to inspire the voices of youths to take on collective action and discourse across the world.

Lojien Altayeb

Lojien  is a results-driven professional with expertise in program coordination, partnerships, and communications. Fluent in multiple languages, she excels in stakeholder engagement, event execution, and digital content creation. She is passionate about human rights, international cooperation, and sustainability.

Tereza Corradi

Tereza is a recent graduate of Security Policy and specializes in contemporary China and the Asia-Pacific region. She is currently working in the Institute of International Relations as a Research Assistant.

Diego López Martinez

Diego López Martínez (he/him) is a last year High School student that exemplifies leadership, creativity, and social responsibility. His commitment to global issues is evident through his active participation in Model United Nations. As President of the social action initiative “CIVITAS,” he further demonstrates his dedication to community service.

Tasha Burhunduli

Tasha is a first-year medical student at the University of Ottawa. She has been actively engaged in Model UN since 2020 and passionately believes in the power of youth voices and the importance of empowering young leaders through Model UN.

Tomi Reju

Tomi holds an Honours B.A. in International Development Studies from York University in Toronto, Canada. She is currently employed as a Legal Assistant in the Immigration sector. Tomi is passionate about exploring how current regulations and global trends can foster youth-led discourse and enhance their involvement in international affairs through MUNers Across Borders.

Jessica Song

Jessica is currently a high school student in Toronto, Canada. She is interested in Model UN after being exposed to it last year and is grateful to be part of the MUN Across Borders team. She hopes to learn more about current global issues and aid in communicating their importance to youth.

Erin Grealis

Erin is an International Bachelor of Laws (LLB) graduate with a robust understanding of global law, honed through internships with nonprofits in the USA and Ireland. Recognized for her achievements in criminal law, she aspires to qualify as a practicing lawyer in both Ireland and the USA, while pursuing an LLM in Europe.

Abhimanyu Kumar Sharma

Abhimanyu Kumar Sharma (he/him) is a 1st year student from India, he is a Youth Advisor at the Schizophrenia Research Foundation and works at the intersection of Mental Health, Climate Action, Sexual Health and Queer rights. He has been hanging around in the Model UN circuit for over 6 years and has been to over 100 conferences as delegate, chair, secretariat member and much more.

Yordan Gochev

Yordan is a graduate from the College of Europe with MA in EU International Relations and Diplomacy. He has served as a diplomat during the rotating Presidency of the Council of the EU. He has worked as a project manager in the civil society close to ECFR on bridging EU and MENA. He has also worked as legal assistant within the EC. He is serving as family mentor within the IRC on Afghan refugees

Nourelhoda Hassanen

Nourelhoda (Nour) Hassanen is a Master of Public Administration student at California State University, Dominguez Hills, and a Business Management Teaching Assistant at the Arab Open University in Egypt. She also serves as a Writing Associate at CSUDH’s Writing Center, supporting academic writing and research development. Nour previously served as the 2024 Community Director at MUNers Across Borders, where she advanced initiatives focused on youth upskilling and meaningful participation in policymaking. Her experience bridges academia, public administration, and global youth engagement. Nour is an alumna of Fora’s 2022 Global Summit, Grameen Creative Lab’s Young Challenger Program, and the Egypt Scholars Inc. Research Lab. Through her editorial leadership, she is committed to amplifying youth voices and strengthening evidence-based policy dialogue globally.

Abeer Sabz Ali

Abeer Sabz Ali is a youth engagement and public policy professional dedicated to advancing equity, inclusion, and meaningful youth participation in decision-making spaces. She currently serves as Senior Officer, Youth Programs at UNICEF Canada, where she leads the national Campus Clubs program and supports youth-led advocacy initiatives. In this role, she develops engagement frameworks, facilitates capacity-building opportunities, and builds strategic partnerships to amplify youth voices. Previously, Abeer worked as a Policy Advisor at Transport Canada, contributing to Canada’s on-road decarbonization agenda. She holds a Master of Global Affairs from the University of Toronto’s Munk School and an Honours BA in Political Science with minors in Women’s Studies and Social Justice. Abeer has also held leadership roles with Girl Up Canada and the Global Ideas Institute.

Hiba Zinbarakji

Hiba Zinbarakji holds a Master’s degree in Global Politics from McMaster University, where her research examined voting behaviour among non-resident citizens, with a focus on Lebanese politics. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at Western University in Global Justice and Consumer Behaviour, developing an interdisciplinary perspective bridging policy and business. Her academic interests include global development, transitional justice, critical security studies, and comparative politics. Beyond academia, Hiba served as President of the Policy Pitch Association, engaging youth in public policy through one of Canada’s only undergraduate policy-based case competitions. She has also served as a Diversity Advisor on the City of Burlington’s Inclusivity Advisory Committee. Through her work, Hiba is committed to inclusive governance, youth leadership, and building meaningful partnerships across sectors.

Philippe Alexander Lefevre

Philippe Alexander Lefevre is the founder and former Managing Director of MUNers Across Borders and continues to support the organization as it grows globally. A Franco-British professional, Philippe brings extensive Model United Nations experience across multiple countries and is passionate about expanding access to simulation-based learning. He has witnessed the transformative impact of simulations on youth development and leadership. Professionally, Philippe works as an academic specializing in security and defence, a humanitarian supporting efforts in Ukraine and Eastern Europe, and a consultant advising government and industry on progressive affairs. His work bridges education, policy, and humanitarian response. As a Summit Team Advisor, Philippe supports strategic growth, mentorship, and innovation to strengthen global engagement through high-quality simulations.

Arushi Dahiya

Arushi Dahiya works in impact and stewardship within humanitarian aid at the International Development & Relief Foundation. She graduated top of her department from the University of Toronto with an Honours BA in International Development, Political Science, and Socio-cultural Anthropology. Arushi has international experience with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in Laos, supporting an Alternative Development project to reduce illegal opium cultivation. Her research interests include sustainability, equity, and community-driven development. She has contributed to climate decarbonization research with the 100 Resilient Cities initiative and conducted qualitative research on Black feminist scholarship and social solidarity economies. Arushi is deeply committed to advancing impact-driven solutions that align financial systems with social and environmental justice while prioritizing community well-being.

Diego López Martínez

Diego López Martínez (he/him) is a Mexican first-year university student studying International Relations, Philosophy, Politics, and Economics in Spain. He is actively involved in national and international Model United Nations conferences and serves on the secretariat for MUNMA in Mexico. Diego previously served as President of the social action initiative “CIVITAS,” where he coordinated collaboration between students and administrators to provide resources and maintenance support to under-resourced schools. Through his academic and extracurricular involvement, Diego has developed strong interests in diplomacy, political theory, and civic engagement. He is particularly passionate about youth-led initiatives and international cooperation as tools to address social inequalities and strengthen institutional accountability across local and global contexts.

Joshua Chou

Joshua (Josh) Chou is a high school student at Upper Canada College, recognized for leadership, academic excellence, and a strong interest in global affairs. An active participant in Model United Nations, Josh has earned top awards at major conferences, including CMUNC 2024, and served as an Assistant Secretary-General at OxfordMUN Canada 2025. Through MUN, he has developed skills in diplomacy, debate, and international relations, which he continues to refine through mentorship and staffing roles. Beyond MUN, Josh is a dedicated tennis player who values discipline and perseverance. He is also an enthusiastic writer, participating in multiple writing competitions that highlight his analytical thinking and creativity. As Communications and Media Officer, Josh supports effective outreach and engagement.

Winny Wang

Winny Wang is a policy and regulatory professional with experience in policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project coordination. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Ecosystem Health and Political Science from Western University, where she developed strong interests in environmental and science policy. Winny is passionate about encouraging youth engagement in policy and regulatory work by making complex systems more accessible. Through her role as Co-Editor-in-Chief, she is committed to maintaining high editorial standards and supporting rigorous, evidence-based policy dialogue. Winny brings an interdisciplinary perspective that integrates environmental science with political analysis. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys reading and solving puzzles, reflecting her analytical mindset and attention to detail.

Oluwatomiloba Reju

Oluwatomiloba (Tomi) Reju holds an Honours BA in International Development Studies from York University in Toronto, Canada. She is passionate about examining how global trends and policy frameworks can foster youth-led discourse and strengthen young people’s engagement in international affairs. As Head of Strategic Communications at MUNers Across Borders, Tomi focuses on developing clear, impactful communication strategies that amplify youth voices and support inclusive dialogue. Her interests lie at the intersection of development, communications, and youth leadership. Tomi is particularly interested in how digital platforms and narrative framing can be leveraged to engage diverse audiences. She is committed to building communication approaches that align with the organization’s mission of empowering youth participation in global policy conversations.

Agata Capomasi

Agata Capomasi is a final-year student at the University of Toronto, double-majoring in Criminology and European Affairs. Originally from Venice, Italy, she moved to Canada nine years ago and discovered Model United Nations during her first year of university. She quickly developed a passion for debate, collaboration, and problem-solving, progressing from moderator roles to staffing at multiple conferences. Her dedication led to her appointment as Director of General Assemblies for UTMUN 2026. Agata plans to pursue a career in international law, where she hopes to contribute to diplomacy and global problem-solving. Outside of academics and MUN, she enjoys reading about art, particularly Impressionism, hiking in Algonquin Park, and exploring new restaurants.

Diane Mihaella Gorun

Diane Mihaella Gorun is a Master of Global Affairs student at the University of Toronto’s Munk School, holding a dual Honours Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Music from Western University. Her academic work focuses on human rights, transitional justice, and Canada’s role in global conflict resolution. Notable projects include research on Canada–U.S. relations, the Gaza conflict, and ethnomusicology in conflict transformation in Northern Uganda. Alongside her academic pursuits, Diane has held leadership roles in student government and artistic ensembles. A professionally trained vocalist, she has performed in full-scale opera productions internationally. Fluent in English and Russian, Diane is committed to cross-cultural understanding and using both policy and the arts as tools for global empowerment.

Medha Bhushan

Medha Bhushan is a dual-degree Master of Public Policy and Master of Global Affairs candidate specializing in social policy and global development. She completed her MPP at Sciences Po in Paris and is currently pursuing her MGA at the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. Medha serves as a Policy Research Assistant with the Global Strategy Lab’s AMR Policy Accelerator, contributing to policy solutions addressing antimicrobial resistance in resource-limited settings. Her work reflects a strong commitment to evidence-based policymaking, global health equity, and international collaboration. With a cross-cultural academic background, Medha brings a global perspective to policy analysis and journal review, supporting rigorous research and informed dialogue on complex global

Katelynn Cassandra Burrell

Katelynn Cassandra Burrell is a Political Science student at Western University with a strong interest in public policy and governance. Growing up outside Toronto, she developed an early awareness of how public policy shapes access to education, healthcare, and community resources. She currently serves as Director of Sponsorships for the Policy Pitch Association, supporting student-led policy dialogue and research. Katelynn has also held leadership roles with the Western Women in Politics Club and TEDxWesternU, strengthening her commitment to youth engagement and inclusive decision-making. She aspires to pursue a Master of Public Policy and contribute to innovative, evidence-based policymaking in Canada. Outside of academics, she enjoys documentaries, podcasts, fitness, and spending time with friends.

Abdalla Mahmoud Zaher Elhusseiny Mohamed

Abdalla Mahmoud Zaher Elhusseiny Mohamed is a lawyer and LLM holder in International Law with experience in dispute resolution, development finance, and international governance. He serves as an Editorial Member at MUNers Across Borders, contributing analysis on global diplomacy and multilateral legal issues. Abdalla has worked with leading regional law firms on commercial, investment, and sports arbitration before institutions such as the ICC and CRCICA. He has contributed to publications by the World Bank Group and Baker McKenzie, drawing on expertise in legal drafting, policy review, and cross-border research. Sadie McIntosh

Sadie McIntosh is a graduate student at the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. She previously interned with UNICEF’s Office of Emergency Programmes, developing a strong interest in humanitarian response, development work, and child rights. Throughout her academic career, Sadie has held multiple roles on the editorial boards of journals focused on politics and international relations. Her interests include global development, policy analysis, and international cooperation. Through her work as a reviewer, she is committed to supporting high-quality research and amplifying scholarship that addresses pressing global challenges. Sadie brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to editorial work and is passionate about advancing equitable outcomes through policy and research.

Emre E. Küpcük

Emre is currently working at international organisationsin Brussels and a graduate of International Relations from Maastricht University. He has an extensive background in social media and external communications, which includes social media strategy and content creation. In his work with MAB, he oversees the communications team, external relations and communications matters, and most importantly, social media.
